Benefits of going to a dog groomer

Good morning!

Yesterday a gentleman asked me why he should pay me,  instead of washing his huskie at home. There are many benefits of going to a GOOD groomer, that for outweigh the cost.

The first thing I told him was “Well, do you wash and brush your own hair, and keep yourself showered? Then why should your dog miss out?”…”Would you bath your children out in the yard with the hose?….” Then why should your dog have to put up with a cold hose wash?”

Regular grooming can keep your dog’s coat and skin healthy and shiny by stimulating blood flow to the hair follicles. Regular examinations of the pet’s eyes, ears and teeth can help prevent any long-term health problems. Grooming on a regular basis can improve your dog’s overall health and prolong the life of your pet.

The groomer is not responsible for your dogs coat. Regular brushing, and running your hands over the dogs body will strengthen the bond between you. And it will be easier to keep a eye out for fleas and ticks. And other health issues. So it will benefit the dog and the owner.

These are just what I discussed with this gentleman yesterday. There are many more benefits, which I’m sure I will cover in time.
